June Projects

I think that summer has finally arrived 😁 with rain 😂 last night it rained so hard and lasted for a few hrs. Kept me awake. The next few days are supposed to be hot...well we'll see.

I have managed to put in a couple of hrs each day in the garden. Trying to keep ahead of the weeds and pests but I think I’m fighting a losing battle here. Even as I pull a weed I turn around and bam there’s another one in its place. Plus the pests are eating way more than I will be! So I come into my happy place and stitch away the rest of my day.

Every Saturday and Sunday Oml Embroidery has a live sew a long. Yesterday was this mug rug and the past two weeks are these appliqué blocks from Anita Goodesign. They are really cute. I am making them very scrappy because of all the bits and pieces that are in my collection. Will make them into a wall hanging when done. I am sure learning a lot about fabric and thread choices...some are not the best

Made a few coin pouches with pieces of measuring tape and cork...so simple and yet so cute

Then I got into more bags...sigh...I’ve gone down that rabbit hole big time!
I ordered my woven interfacing from Blue Calla which is in Ontario. Canada Post had a tracking number and I would check every day to see where my pkg was. Well it went from Toronto to Halifax to Montreal and then stopped reporting where it was. After 2 1/2 weeks it finally arrived. For the life of me I could not understand why it went all the way to Halifax! This COVID-19 is getting the blame for everything that is going wrong! If only my pkg could talk right? 🤪

This fabric is so darn cute

This Annette bag is so beautiful. I struggled with the zipper and turning it right side out which is called birthing. My hands are not that strong anymore and I was so glad to have acupuncture soon after. But it was worth it.

Notice the new cushion covers I sewed...

...and then I had to make this matching Gratitude  wallet
