Picked up in Keremeos at the fruit stands: 125 lbs tomatoes, 50 lbs Roma tomatoes, 55 cobs corn, 50 lbs peaches, 50 lbs pears, 25 lbs onions, sweet and hot peppers, 10 lbs carrots....woot!

Next year I'm going to grow all this myself!

Chalk Paint

I have landed into the world of chalk paint! So easy to use and no prep. Easy to cleanup and such beautiful colors. And the best part...it goes on forever! I bought a pint of greysful for the dresser and used 1/3 of it. Wow!

Garden Update Aug

Already it's August! Time is quickly passing by...

Successes....

Harvested the garlic last week. This is from the big bed.

This is the grand total!

Notes:

Fertilized with granular 10-10-10

Compost tea - compost in pillowcase and soaking in bucket of water

Slugs are still really bad. Walk around garden armed with scissors!

Cut back strawberries and mulched with shredding. Fertilized with 46-0-0

Mulched garlic beds with cardboard and shredding.

Planted carrots and peas for fall harvest.
