Day 1 Conditioning

Perfect day to start the conditioning! Light rain so I don't have to water :-)

1/2 cup of lawn fertilizer per bale

April 28/16 - day 5 of conditioning, I made a horrible discovery that the lawn fertilizer that I was using had an 80 % slow release! So I reached out to the SBG group on FB and this is what the advice is.

I found some 46-0-0 at Farmers Supply and immediately started again. Luckily we had a downpour and I am hoping that the slow release has been "released"!

....and we got us some wood chips!

25 days since I planted tomatoes

10 days since I planted the basil

Zucchini....yikes!

Lettuce planted 7 days...am going to transplant later as I do not want to lose these.

April 24 & 25 weather

This is what happens when you let these pucks dry out. I am not a happy camper. I transplanted into a bigger pot and have my fingers crossed that these will survive. I planted new ones just in case :-(

My drip irrigation system

Also planted sunflowers and Swiss chard

Yesterday AAA came out and knocked down some trees....

Tree #1

Tree #2

Sure opens up our view and more sun on the garden :-)

Tree #4

It was fun watching them work. They sure know what they were doing.

We got us some chips!
