The heat wave did not last that long and now that it’s cooler it’s almost cold! Lol... forest fire is still burning in the Slocan Valley and folks have been on evacuation alert for over a week. The fire in Penticton is still going strong but at least folks are allowed back into their homes. This cooler weather will help. What a year! I am grateful that we are safe.
In the meantime I have been harvesting enough for meals and freezing some. Kale, berries, lavender, herbs, garlic scape pesto and this year I made basil pesto...oh yummmm!
Made my first ever fresh peach and cream cheese pie...looked awesome until I baked it and the peaches slid off! Lol...
But it tasted soooo good...
This turned out so beautifully. Love this pattern. Used my new scan and cut to cut out the angles. Used leftover angles on the back.
Table runner from the same book of patterns. Enough for now may have to make more next year!
September door..these are a great practice for stretching the mind. Used cork scraps on the door and the gnome hat
Made a few of these. Took me three tries to get the zipper right
Hotpads π
So this is how crazy we embroiderers are. Another sewalong and this is what we worked on!
